A magnetic storm continues to rage on Earth on Friday, February 6. Solar activity is beginning to decline, but its impact is still being felt.

This is evidenced by data from the British Geological Survey.

According to forecasts, its level will be a K-index of 6 points, which corresponds to the red level.

Experts explain that the increased solar wind speed is associated with the prolonged impact of the coronal mass ejection, as well as the possible inflow of a high-velocity stream from the coronal hole. Because of this, short-term G1-level magnetic storms are possible during the day, but over time the Earth’s magnetic field should return to a calm state.

Magnetic storms can negatively affect well-being, especially for people with cardiovascular and chronic diseases, as well as those who are sensitive to weather changes. Doctors advise during this period to adhere to a sleep schedule, drink more water, choose light meals, and avoid alcohol to reduce possible discomfort.
