On Thursday, September 5, geomagnetic activity will remain at a low level. According to forecasts, the Kr index will not exceed 4, which corresponds to weak oscillations in the magnetosphere.

This is evidenced by meteoagent data.

For most people, this situation will remain unnoticed, and no impact on the operation of equipment, communications, or navigation systems is predicted.

However, a new magnetic storm is expected to begin on September 6, which could reach the G1 level. According to preliminary calculations, the Kr index will increase to 5, which could affect weather-sensitive people and cause minor disruptions in radio and GPS systems.

The cause of the storm is a coronal mass ejection on the Sun, which was recorded the day before, according to the British Geological Survey.
The storm could last for several days, so September 5 is considered a “lull” before a possible increase in solar activity.

Tips during magnetic storms:

Doctors remind that although most people do not react to geomagnetic disturbances, those who are weather-sensitive may experience fatigue, headaches, or irritability.

To reduce the negative impact:

– be outdoors more often;
– avoid overwork and stress;
– do not drink alcohol;
– prioritize good rest and water balance.

As a reminder, on Wednesday, September 3, the geomagnetic situation began to return to a relatively calm state. After the powerful storm observed earlier, the activity index will decrease to Kp=5, which corresponds to a weak G1 class storm.
