The Sun is preparing a new blow: when the Earth will be covered by a magnetic storm

Currently, the geomagnetic situation on Earth is calm, but the situation may change by the end of August 26. According to the forecast of the British Geological Survey, a solar wind stream from a coronal hole is approaching the planet, which is capable of causing a weak magnetic storm of the G1 level.
The Sun has been relatively quiet for the past few days. Solar wind speeds have almost returned to normal, and no coronal mass ejections have been recorded toward Earth.
However, this period of calm will soon end. The coronal hole on the Sun will begin to affect our planet in the coming days. Due to the strengthening of the solar wind, the Earth’s geomagnetic field may become unstable.
According to experts, the first weak magnetic storm may begin on the evening of August 26. Increased activity is likely to continue on August 27.
The storm is expected to be a G1, or weak, storm. However, the geomagnetic forecast may change depending on the actual speed and strength of the solar wind.
During periods of increased geomagnetic activity, weather-sensitive people should take care of getting enough sleep and rest. It is also advisable not to overexert yourself physically, drink enough water, and reduce the amount of coffee and alcohol. People who are constantly taking medications prescribed by a doctor should not change their treatment regimen due to a magnetic storm.
