The sun will cause a storm: Ukraine will be covered by a powerful magnetic storm

On Friday, April 10, Ukraine is expected to experience a strong “red” level magnetic storm. Its activity will reach K-index 5, which may affect well-being, especially for weather-dependent people.

Experts report that on April 8 and 9, solar activity will be within normal limits, so the Earth’s magnetic field will remain stable. But on Friday, a stream of high-speed solar wind will cause fluctuations in the magnetic field that could last for several days.

Magnetic storms are caused by sudden flares on the Sun and the release of charged particles that reach the Earth and cause changes in its magnetic field. Storms with a K-index of 5 or higher are considered severe.

To make it easier to endure a magnetic storm, doctors advise to be outdoors more often, ventilate the room, drink enough water, eat a balanced diet, and get plenty of rest. People with chronic diseases may experience an exacerbation of their condition, so if you feel worse, you should consult a doctor.
