The Supreme Court has begun another hearing on illegal sanctions against Poroshenko
Today, July 17, the next session of the Cassation Chamber of the Supreme Court began on Petro Poroshenko’s claim regarding illegal sanctions.
The press service of European Solidarity reported this.
In particular, representatives of the diplomatic corps, people’s deputies, war veterans, public activists, and representatives of Ukrainian and foreign media are present in the courtroom.
Petro Poroshenko demands that the illegal presidential decree on sanctions against him be cancelled. Before the meeting, Poroshenko thanked everyone for their support and stressed that there is a battle for democracy, for truth and for the European future of our state.
Recall that according to the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology, the majority of Ukrainians have negatively perceived the sanctions against Poroshenko , considering them a fight against the opposition and an attempt to divert attention from the situation at the front. 35% of respondents consider this an attempt to divert attention from the difficult situation at the front, and 29% – an attempt to neutralize the opposition on the eve of negotiations with Russia and possible elections. According to the survey, the share of those who consider the sanctions an attempt to punish the guilty has decreased by 4% – now there are only 34%.
