The suspect in Parubiy’s murder justified the Russian Federation’s actions even before his son’s disappearance: journalists learned the details
Mykhailo Stselnikov, suspected of the murder of MP Andriy Parubiy, justified Russia’s actions on social media and spoke negatively about the Ukrainian authorities.
This was learned by journalists from Toronto Television.
After examining the suspect’s social media accounts — his Telegram channel and an old VKontakte account — it turned out that he had been justifying the aggressor’s actions even before his son, a military man, disappeared. Earlier, at a court hearing, Stelnikov stated that he had killed the deputy in order to get to Russia and find the body of his deceased son.
Journalists also learned that the suspect, in a conversation with a Russian blogger, agreed with the statement that the attack on the Kramatorsk railway station in April 2022 was carried out by Ukrainians.
In particular, the Russian accused Ukraine of the shelling, to which Stelnikov replied: “What you are telling the truth is, I know perfectly well where the rocket came from and what kind of rocket it is. It is logical, most likely it was our rocket.”
In addition, he left pro-Russian comments in Telegram channels, was interested in traveling to the Russian Federation, wanted to lose his Ukrainian citizenship, admired Stalin, and criticized the Revolution of Dignity.
Among thousands of comments on Telegram, journalists found a proposal from Stelnikov, in which he assured that he “has interesting information about a mutual acquaintance from Lviv.” The suspect also repeatedly spoke about Parubiy in a negative context.
