The “SvitloDim” program has been launched in Ukraine: how to get up to 300 thousand hryvnias for backup power
In Ukraine, applications for participation in the state program to support apartment buildings “SvitloDim” began on January 30. Under the program, buildings can receive up to 300 thousand hryvnias for equipment for autonomous power supply and ensuring the operation of life support systems.
This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko.
According to her, associations of co-owners of apartment buildings, housing and service cooperatives, as well as building managers can submit applications through the “Diya” service.
“Within the framework of the program, the state provides from 100 to 300 thousand hryvnias in assistance,” said Yulia Svyrydenko.
Funds may be used to purchase equipment to ensure the operation of key home systems during power outages. These include:
- gasoline, diesel or gas generators;
- batteries;
- inverters;
- solar panels;
- other power equipment for the operation of life support systems.
The amount of assistance depends on the number of floors in the building and the number of entrances.
To apply, you must open a special account with a designated purpose at Oschadbank or another bank that joins the program. Submitted applications are considered by a commission under the Ministry of Development.
“The program will operate during martial law in communities where an emergency situation in the energy sector has been officially recorded. At the first stage, this is Kyiv and the Kyiv region,” said Yulia Svyrydenko.
Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine – Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Kuleba noted that the program provides support for the installation of backup power so that during outages, houses have access to light, heat, water, and communications.
“After verification of applications, funds will be transferred to applicants within 48 hours,” said Oleksiy Kuleba.
The program is currently operating in Kyiv and Kyiv region and provides state support for apartment buildings to install autonomous power supply during power system outages.
