After a visit to China, where Vladimir Putin held talks with Xi Jinping, international analysts note an increase in aggression in the Kremlin’s actions.

According to The Times, the air attack on Kyiv, which occurred shortly after Putin’s return to Moscow, may signal the beginning of a new phase of the war.

The strike was one of the largest of its kind since the full-scale invasion. It was the first time in three years of war that a government building in the Ukrainian capital, long described in Russian rhetoric as the “decision-making center,” had come under rocket fire. The Kremlin’s symbolic gesture could be a sign of its determination to move to an even tougher phase of the conflict.

Putin’s meeting with the leaders of China and North Korea in Beijing was accompanied by a joint viewing of a military parade – an event that observers called a landmark. It is the first time in a decade that the leaders of the three authoritarian states have publicly gathered in one place. The British publication notes that Putin sat to the right of Xi Jinping – a detail that experts interpret as an acknowledgement of a certain subordination on the part of Moscow in its partnership with China.

Despite the fact that Beijing is not directly involved in the war, China provides Russia with diplomatic cover, does not join the sanctions, and actively develops economic cooperation. One of the confirmations was the promotion of the Power of Siberia-2 gas pipeline project, which will allow Russia to reorient energy supplies from the West to the East.

During his trip to China, Putin also outlined his vision for the future world order, saying that Western dominance was coming to an end and the world was becoming “multipolar.” The Times believes the statement is a continuation of the Kremlin’s long-standing strategy to undermine Western influence.

Recall that on the night of September 7, Russia carried out another massive combined attack against Ukraine , using a record number of strike drones – 810. In addition, ballistic and cruise missiles were used.

As reported, as a result of the Russian Federation’s massive strike on Ukrainian regions, the Cabinet of Ministers building was damaged, in particular, where a fire broke out.
