The second season of the series “Wednesday” was recently released on the Netflix streaming service. However, it was not without scandals – all because of the mention of famous Russian composers and writers.

The corresponding message was published on the social network X by Ukrainian blogger Nika Rogova.

In particular, the blogger drew attention to the fact that in one of the scenes, the main character, Wednesday Adams, performs the “Dance of the Knights” from the ballet “Romeo and Juliet” by Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev on the cello.

“Billie Piper in “Wednesday” is excellent. Prokofiev is not. Why drag out a big one right now. Do you want something mystical and mysterious – is Edvard Grieg a joke for you?”, Rogova was indignant.

Also in the comments to the post, it was noted that in the series, among the outstanding writers, along with Dante, Shelley, Dickens and Proust, Leo Tolstoy is mentioned.

In addition, one of the episodes contains a joke about a relative who “worked as an executioner in the Gulag and was a master of his craft.”
