The NATO-Ukraine Council at the level of Chiefs of General Staffs will meet on January 21-22 at the Alliance’s headquarters in Brussels. The meeting will be held within the framework of the NATO Military Committee, which will meet on the same days.
This is reported by European Truth with reference to the NATO press service.
On Thursday, January 22, the Chiefs of General Staff will hold a separate meeting in the format of the Ukraine-NATO Council. They will discuss the situation on the battlefield and further support for Ukraine from the Alliance.
Among the topics are assistance within the framework of the NSATU program, which covers security support and training of the Ukrainian military, as well as the work of the Joint Analysis, Training and Education Center (JATEC).
NATO has not yet specified who will represent Ukraine at the meeting.
As previously reported, American politician Philip Gordon stated that security guarantees under NATO’s Article 5 cannot be a reliable safeguard for Ukraine.
