The Joint Forces Group has denied Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s claims that Kupyansk is allegedly “encircled” by Russian troops.

The Joint Forces Group reported this.

“Heavy fighting is ongoing in Kupyansk and the surrounding area, and occupying forces are attempting to gain a foothold in the northern part of the city. However, any claims of Ukrainian troops being ‘encircled’ are pure fiction and fantasy, not based on any actual data on the ground,” the group’s statement reads.

The command emphasized that Putin is repeating false statements from his generals that do not correspond to the real situation at the front.

On October 29, Putin announced the alleged “encirclement” of Ukrainian troops in Pokrovsk and Kupyansk, after which he cynically proposed “ceasing hostilities” so that journalists could verify the “truth” of his words.

It was previously reported that the enemy is attempting to push the demarcation line closer to Pokrovsk and Mirnohrad by conducting massive assaults.

Let us recall that at the beginning of autumn, the Russian command set a goal in the Donetsk region : to capture Pokrovsk, Myrnohrad, and Dobropillya.
