The Ukrainian Armed Forces hit the “Tapir”: what is known about the damage to the Russian landing ship

A large landing ship was damaged during the Defense Forces’ attack on the port of Novorossiysk.

This was reported by “Babel” sources in the SBU.

We are talking about the ship of project 1171 “Tapir” (or Alligator according to NATO classification). At the time of the attack, this ship was standing near the pier of the naval base. The ships of this project are designed to land marines on unequipped coasts and transfer troops and cargo by sea. They are capable of transporting various types of armored vehicles, including tanks.

It was previously reported that on the night of November 25, the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out a series of targeted strikes on strategic Russian military facilities.

As a reminder, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that at night, Ukraine attacked various regions of the Russian Federation using 93 unmanned aerial vehicles.
