The Ukrainian Air Assault Troops are conducting an active operation in the Aleksandrovsk area: control over eight settlements has been restored.

The Ukrainian Airborne Assault Troops are conducting an active operation in the Oleksandrivka sector. Its goal is to disrupt Russia’s plans to advance into the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.

According to hromadske , the counteroffensive is being led by the commander of the Airborne Assault Forces, General Oleh Apostol . In addition to the assault regiments, the 82nd Separate Bukovina Airborne Assault Brigade and the 95th Separate Polesie Airborne Assault Brigade are involved in the assault operations.

The main objectives of the operation are to disrupt the enemy’s plans for further advancement in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions, defeat the Russian military group and push it beyond the administrative border of the Dnipropetrovsk region.

The Airborne Assault Command notes that, despite active assault operations by Russian troops, Ukrainian units are repelling attacks and successfully conducting offensive operations. They describe the situation as very dynamic.

“The enemy is clinging to every meter of captured territory, using all available resources, both human and technical, but despite its fierce resistance, the group’s units are fulfilling their assigned tasks and, step by step, liberating their homeland,” the military stated.

It is noted that since the beginning of the operation, Air Assault Forces units, together with related forces, have regained control of eight settlements and an area of over 300 square kilometers cleared of Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups. The active phase of the operation is currently ongoing.
