Ukrainian forces have created gaps in the Russian air defense system on the peninsula and could exploit these vulnerabilities for a large-scale attack on Crimea, particularly via the Kerch Bridge.
This was stated by Sky News military analyst Michael Clarke.
According to him, recent Ukrainian air strikes on radar stations and air defense facilities have weakened the occupiers’ defenses. This opens the door to new operations, which could include an air strike or an amphibious assault.
Clark believes that one potential target would be the Kerch Bridge, as Ukraine already has the means to strike deep.
The analyst emphasized that Russia’s offensive this summer has essentially run its course: although the enemy pressed hard in the Kupyansk direction, it made no strategic progress. At the same time, Ukraine must prepare for a difficult winter with the risk of massive air attacks from Russia.
As a reminder, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a Russian Army drone distribution center and ammunition depot in the temporarily occupied territories.
