The fighters of the 132nd separate reconnaissance battalion of the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine broke through the defense line of the Russian occupiers in the Oleksandrivka direction. Thanks to this, the Ukrainian troops thwarted the enemy’s plans for a further offensive and opened a bridgehead for tactical advancement.

This was reported by the Command of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the command, ground reconnaissance combat groups “CG132” of the 132nd separate reconnaissance battalion broke through the enemy defense line in the Oleksandrivka direction. During the operation, enemy fire installations, manpower, and ammunition storage sites of the occupants were destroyed.

“Ground reconnaissance combat groups ‘CG132′ of the 132nd separate reconnaissance battalion of the 7th corps of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ SR DShV broke through the enemy’s defense line in the Oleksandrivka direction. During the operation, enemy fire installations, manpower, and ammunition storage sites of the occupants were destroyed,” the DShV Command noted.

Thanks to the breakthrough, Ukrainian fighters thwarted the enemy’s plans for a further offensive. This allowed them to open a bridgehead for the tactical advance of friendly units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and strengthen defensive positions in the direction.

It is worth adding that the Oleksandrivka direction encompasses a triangle where the Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zaporizhia regions converge, which makes it strategically important for conducting operations.

It was previously reported that the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are conducting an active operation in the Oleksandrivka direction. Its goal is to thwart the Russian Federation’s plans to advance in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions. It is noted that since the start of the operation, the Airborne Assault Forces units, together with allied forces, have regained control over eight settlements.
