Next week, on July 10, a “coalition of the willing” will meet on the sidelines of the Franco-British summit in the UK.
This was reported by Politico.
As noted, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will join the meeting remotely from Rome, where he is participating in a conference dedicated to supporting Kyiv.
Meanwhile, French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer will join the discussion from the headquarters in Northwood, where NATO’s Joint Naval Command is located.
It is currently not known for certain which of the participating countries will join the meeting in the UK.
“A summit of the coalition of the willing will be held, led by the president (of France – ed.) and the prime minister (of Great Britain – ed.)… On the agenda are questions about how to maintain Ukraine’s combat capability, how to increase pressure on Russia, and how to continue working on the next steps,” said an official from the Elysee Palace.
We will remind you that on May 10, a meeting of the “coalition of the willing” was held in Kyiv with the participation of European leaders.
By the way, on April 17, a meeting of the “coalition of the willing” was held in the French capital with the participation of a Ukrainian delegation and representatives of France, Germany, and Great Britain. At the meeting, the participants discussed ways to a just and lasting peace.
