US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has denied that the US has stopped sharing intelligence on Russian ballistic missiles with Ukraine, saying that problems with identifying threats and responding to the information received may have arisen due to technical difficulties.

Rubio said this, commenting on reports that people are dying in Ukraine due to the lack of American intelligence.

“This is scandalous. This is outrageous. This is simply not true. This is not true,” the US Secretary of State said.

He suggested that the Ukrainian side may have had internal difficulties in obtaining, systematizing and using the transmitted data. According to Rubio, Washington is studying this situation. He added that the problems that arose on the 13th and 18th, according to a preliminary assessment, were of a technical nature.

Rubio also said that US President Donald Trump is reacting sharply to accusations that he is deliberately trying to harm Ukraine. The Secretary of State called such allegations false and unfair to the American president.

Separately, Rubio explained why he believes Russia’s war against Ukraine needs to end. He cited the loss of life, the destruction of Ukraine’s energy system, and the significant losses suffered by the Russian military.

“One of the reasons this war needs to end is that too many people are dying. One of the reasons this war needs to end is that Ukraine’s energy system is being destroyed,” Rubio said.

He said that 20,000 to 25,000 Russian soldiers are killed every month in battles trying to advance deep into Ukraine. He also mentioned the destruction and death of civilians in Kyiv.

As a reminder, US President Donald Trump’s special representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner demanded that Ukraine stop attacks on Russian oil refineries. According to media reports, they threatened to deprive Kyiv of American intelligence if the attacks continued.

As reported, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga said that Ukraine continues to receive intelligence information from the United States, despite tensions in relations between the countries.

It should be noted that Ukraine transfers a significant amount of intelligence information to the United States. The US Senate emphasized that cooperation between the countries in this area is mutual.

By the way, the European Commission stated that there are currently no signs of a cessation of intelligence sharing between the US and Ukraine . At the same time, Brussels has not yet commented on the restrictions on Starlink.

Later, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that the United States had resumed intelligence sharing with Ukraine after a certain break. However, the exact date of the resumption of data transfer is unknown.
