The US Treasury Department has updated its sanctions list, removing several companies and individuals that previously collaborated with the Russian defense sector. The reasons for this move have not yet been made public.

This is stated on the website of the US Treasury Department.

Among those excluded from the list:

Veles International Limited and its owner Dmitry Bugaenko. The company is a subsidiary of a Moscow-based investment organization, but other Russian entities in the group remain under sanctions.

Hi-Tech Koneisto and its manager, Yevgenia Dryomova, previously supplied optoelectronic and laboratory equipment to Russian sanctioned enterprises.

365 Days Freight Services FZCO (Dubai) and Turkish Etasis, which exported equipment for the needs of the Russian military-industrial complex. Sanctions were also lifted for Turkish CPS Proses, which supplied German and American-made machine tools to Russian defense contractors.

Currently, the American side is not commenting on its decision and is not clarifying whether it will affect the policy towards Russian end recipients of these companies’ products.

Analysts note that such exclusions are usually associated with the cessation of activities, change of ownership, or cooperation with the investigation. However, there is no official confirmation of this for the mentioned companies yet.

As a reminder, US lawmakers have introduced a bipartisan bill to the Senate that would impose sanctions on the purchase or facilitation of imports of oil and petroleum products from Russia.

As reported, the United States is preparing to impose new sanctions against Russia in the near future . The restrictions could come into effect next week.
