This was reported by the US Embassy in Ukraine.
The embassy said it had received information about a potential large-scale Russian attack in the near future. US citizens were advised to be prepared to take shelter immediately in the event of an air raid alert.
The embassy also provided a number of recommendations, including:
- determine shelters in advance;
- download the air traffic alert app;
- follow government announcements and news;
- stock up on water, food, and medicine;
- Follow the instructions of emergency services.
The report notes that the last time the US Embassy warned of a possible large-scale threat was on January 8, 2026.
At the same time, monitoring resources reported that Russia has moved 1 Bastion coastal missile system to the Kursk region. In total, according to published data, this amounts to 4 launchers.
It is noted that there is a threat of strikes by Onyx and Zircon missiles from the northern direction. According to monitors, the relocation of the complex allows Russia to reduce the time for missiles to reach Kyiv from 2-3 minutes to a few seconds.
On the eve, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russia is probably preparing a strike on Ukrainian territory using the Oreshnik missile . The Ukrainian side is checking intelligence data received from American and European partners.
