US President Donald Trump has announced a global tariff hike on imports from all countries from 10% to 15%. The move follows his announcement of a 10% tariff and criticism of the Supreme Court’s ban.
He wrote about this in Truth Social .
Donald Trump said the Supreme Court’s ruling banning tariffs was “absurd, poorly written and extremely un-American.”
Only on February 20, the US president announced the introduction of a 10% tariff for all countries in the world. Now he has announced an increase in global tariffs to 15% “for countries, many of which have been “ripping off” the US for decades without any consequences.”
“Over the next few months, the Trump Administration will be identifying and implementing new, legally enforceable tariffs that will continue our hugely successful ‘Make America Great Again’ process — GREATER THAN EVER BEFORE!!!” Donald Trump wrote.
Earlier, the US Supreme Court ruled that the global tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump in April were illegal . The decision was made by a majority of 6 votes to 3.
By the way, US President Donald Trump has imposed tariffs on imports from eight European countries due to their position on Greenland. The tariffs will be in effect until a deal is reached to fully purchase the island and will increase to 25% from June 1.
