The US has postponed planned talks in Turkey: when will the new meeting take place?

The United States of America has proposed postponing the meeting with Ukraine and Russia in Turkey until next week.

This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelensky, quoted by Ukrinform.

According to him, a new round of negotiations was planned to be held on “Tuesday-Wednesday”, however, the meeting was postponed despite the readiness of the Ukrainian team.

“I just had a conversation with President Erdogan. For all of them, including in the Middle East, war is a challenge, but nevertheless everyone says that the dialogue on ending the war in Ukraine is important, that it is a priority for all of us. That is why we were ready to go to Turkey. It was the American side that postponed this meeting, postponed it, said: “Let’s do it next week,” the president said.

However, there is currently no more detailed information, and the date of the next meeting remains uncertain.

Zelensky noted that members of the Ukrainian team communicate with US representatives every day. In particular, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Rustem Umerov, is in contact with the Americans.

The day before, Zelenskyy announced thatthe Ukraine-US-Russia meeting scheduled for this week was postponed due to the aggravation of the situation around Iran.

Earlier,Ukraine approached the United States with a proposal to change the venue due to the war in the Middle East.
