Intelligence-sharing cooperation between the United States and Ukraine has returned to its previous high level, providing important support to Kyiv amid the ongoing war with Russia.

This was reported by Politico, citing American lawmakers and experts.

According to the publication, US senators from both parties note the increased interaction between Washington and Kyiv. A senior member of the US Senate Intelligence Committee, Mark Warner, said that cooperation in the field of intelligence sharing has improved, which has helped Ukraine more effectively use drones and long-range weapons to strike Russian territory.

Republican Senators John Cornyn and Roger Wicker also confirmed that intelligence sharing between the two countries has increased. At the same time, Senator Tim Kaine noted that during his recent visit to Ukraine, he felt much greater confidence on the part of the Ukrainian side in interacting with the United States.

George Barros, director of innovation and open source at the Institute for the Study of War, said that US intelligence was a key factor in Ukraine’s successful attacks on Russian energy infrastructure, part of a broader strategy to inflict significant losses on Russia and increase pressure on Moscow.

In addition, Barros recalled that American early warning systems from the start of a full-scale war help Ukraine detect Russian missile attacks in advance.

The White House declined to comment on the potential expansion of intelligence cooperation, saying only that US President Donald Trump is focused on finding ways to end the war. The CIA and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence also did not respond to Politico’s request for comment.

Former US Ambassador to Ukraine John Herbst, in turn, noted that Washington also benefits significantly from cooperation, as Ukraine possesses valuable intelligence information about Russia.

It was previously reported that US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard issued an official instruction prohibiting the transfer of data regarding peace negotiations between Ukraine and Russia to US allies .
