The US Mint will mint a commemorative coin with Trump

The United States Mint will begin minting a new one-dollar commemorative coin featuring President Donald Trump in the fall of 2026.
This was announced by US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessant, The Wall Street Journal reports .
The coin is being released to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. According to Bessant, it should honor the “legacy of freedom” and become a symbol of American patriotism.
The obverse of the coin will feature Donald Trump, as well as the inscriptions “Freedom,” ” In God We Trust ,” and the dates 1776–2026.
The reverse will feature the Great Seal of the United States, the coin’s denomination, and the number 250, symbolizing the country’s independence anniversary.
The coin will be made at the Philadelphia Mint from a gold-colored base metal alloy. According to The Wall Street Journal, its release is scheduled for fall 2026.
