The US offered Ukraine and Russia talks in a trilateral format: Zelensky confirmed his readiness

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the United States has proposed that Ukraine and Russia hold a trilateral meeting at the technical level by the end of October. The Ukrainian side has confirmed its readiness to join such a format of negotiations.
He said this while talking to journalists.
According to the president, the American side is in contact with Ukraine and Russia regarding holding a meeting in a trilateral format.
“The American side is in contact with Ukraine and Russia today and proposes to hold a meeting in a trilateral format at the technical level by the end of October. I confirmed to them yesterday that our side is ready to support it by the end of October,” Zelensky said.
The President noted that Ukraine is ready to hold negotiations in the United Arab Emirates or in another country proposed by the American side.
“In principle, there is no new information here. We are open to the Emirates or to another country proposed by the American side. I know that they will offer this to the Russian side as well, or have already offered it – I don’t know the procedure – and we will wait for a response. We are reacting positively to the negotiations,” Zelensky added.
It was previously reported that the US wants to bring together representatives of Ukraine and Russia at one table in October to agree on stopping attacks on energy facilities. The American side should also join the negotiations, and the meeting could be held in Abu Dhabi.
By the way, Turkey and the UN are preparing new negotiations between Ukraine and Russia on a ceasefire in the Black Sea . The agreement is supposed to protect grain ships, as well as ports and energy facilities from attacks.
