The Verkhovna Rada registered draft laws on the extension of martial law and mobilization

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has submitted to the Verkhovna Rada draft laws on extending martial law and general mobilization. The documents provide for their extension for another 90 days, starting from August 2, 2026.

This is stated on the website of the Verkhovna Rada.

Draft law No. 15401 has been registered in the Verkhovna Rada, which proposes to extend the term of martial law in Ukraine from August 2, 2026, for 90 days.

Also registered is draft law No. 15402 on approval of the presidential decree “On extending the term of general mobilization.” The document provides for the extension of general mobilization from August 2, 2026, for another 90 days.

Since February 2022, the Verkhovna Rada, upon the proposal of the President, has been extending martial law and general mobilization every 3 months. If the parliament supports the new bills, this will be the 20th extension of these legal regimes since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion.
