The Verkhovna Rada stripped the mandates of two people’s deputies from the “Servant of the People” party.

On September 3, the Verkhovna Rada supported the early termination of the parliamentary powers of Andriy Zhupanyn and Ostap Shypayl, who are members of the Servant of the People faction.
This is evidenced by the broadcast of the parliamentary session.
It is known that the resolution on the termination of Zhupanin’s powers was supported by 234 people’s deputies, and the decision regarding Shipail was supported by 235.
They wrote their statements about resigning their mandates on August 18. The next day, the Verkhovna Rada was already considering this issue, but then the parliamentarians did not have enough votes to terminate their parliamentary powers early.
Zhupanyn and Shipayl were elected as People’s Deputies of Ukraine on the Servant of the People party lists in the 2019 elections.
In particular, in October 2024, Andriy Zhupanyn became deputy chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Energy and Housing and Communal Services. Ostap Shypailo was also a member of this committee.
It was previously reported that the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy, Mykyta Poturayev, announced his early resignation as a People’s Deputy. He has already submitted a corresponding application to the Speaker of the Parliament.
