The Verkhovna Rada supported the request to the President to confer the title of Hero of Ukraine on Andriy Parubiy

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine supported the request of People’s Deputies of Ukraine Artur Gerasimov, Iryna Gerashchenko and others (a total of 67 deputies) to President Zelenskyy to award the title of Hero of Ukraine to the People’s Deputy from the “European Solidarity” faction, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of the eighth convocation, and commandant of the Maidan Self-Defense Andriy Parubiy (posthumously).

230 people’s deputies voted for this.

As is known, a petition to the President of Ukraine to award Andriy Parubiy the title of Hero of Ukraine gained the necessary 25,000 signatures in a matter of days.

Recall that on August 30 , public and political figure Andriy Parubiy was killed in Lviv . Later, it became known that the Lviv region is searching for the shooter who killed the current deputy from the “European Solidarity” party and former chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy . A photo of the alleged killer is being published on the Internet.

Later, journalists reported that MP Andriy Parubiy was shot 8 times by a man disguised as a courier. By the way, a video of the moment of the murder of the MP from the “European Solidarity” and former speaker of parliament Andriy Parubiy appeared on social networks.

It is worth noting that the SBU reported on the possible involvement of Russian special services in organizing the assassination attempt on MP Andriy Parubiy.
