The war made this work even harder – Poroshenko thanked doctors for saving lives

On Medical Worker’s Day, Petro Poroshenko thanked everyone who saves the lives of Ukrainians at the front and in the rear.

“A doctor’s work has always been very difficult. When we say “a doctor saved a life,” this short phrase is accompanied by years of training, duty, difficult decisions, and enormous responsibility. The war made this work even harder,” the fifth President states.

“Our doctors work under shelling and during power outages, they take in the wounded, they save people after Russian attacks. And hospitals themselves have become targets: the Russians are deliberately hitting places where people should be treated and saved. Over the years, Ukrainian doctors have withstood an extraordinary load. And they continue to do their work every day in large hospitals, small towns, military hospitals. Where their help is needed most,” Poroshenko emphasized.

“This is a very difficult, exhausting job. You need to not only know your profession 100%. You need to be able to listen, explain, make decisions, and not lose your composure when others lack it,” Poroshenko added.

“I understand on a personal level what you are talking about, because my Marina is also a doctor by profession. Thank you to all our doctors for your daily work and for saving lives! I wish you strength, health and as much good news as possible! Happy Medical Worker’s Day!”, the party leader concluded.
