The weather is preparing a new surprise: after thunderstorms, intense heat will return to Ukraine

Until the end of July, the weather in Ukraine will remain changeable: some regions will be covered by rain and thunderstorms, in the Carpathians the temperature will drop to +3° at night, and by the end of next week the country may be covered by a new heat wave of +34°.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center and told by Oksana Sklyar, a leading specialist in the media communications department of the Ukrhydrometeorological Center.
According to the weather forecaster, Ukraine is currently under the influence of atmospheric fronts and a low-pressure zone, so the weather in different regions will differ significantly.
“Moderate rains are expected in the southern regions, and significant precipitation with thunderstorms in the Odessa region and Crimea. In other regions, rains will be local or there will be no rain at all,” explained Oksana Sklyar.
On July 23, the heaviest precipitation is forecasted in the south of the country. Heavy rains, thunderstorms, and wind gusts of up to 15–20 m/s are possible in the Odessa region and Crimea. In western Ukraine, short-term rains will occur only in places, while most regions will remain without significant precipitation.
The coolest temperatures will be in the Carpathians, where the air temperature will drop to +3…+8° at night, and will not exceed +12…+17° during the day. In the rest of the territory, +12…+19° at night is expected, and +21…+29° during the day.
No precipitation is forecast in most regions on the night of July 24 and 25, but during the day, short-term rains with thunderstorms will occur in places almost throughout the country. By the weekend, atmospheric pressure will begin to rise, so precipitation will decrease, and the temperature will gradually increase.
“Due to the warming of the territory of Ukraine, we expect a slight increase in temperature in the future,” the forecaster noted.
Dry weather will prevail on Sunday and Monday. Only in some eastern and later western regions, short-term thunderstorms are possible. At the same time, the temperature will continue to rise: during the day, the thermometer will show +22…+30°, and in some regions – up to +33°.
According to the preliminary forecast of the Ukrhydrometeorological Center, a new heat wave may begin in Ukraine at the end of next week, in early August. In most regions, the daytime temperature will rise to +28…+34°, although short-term thunderstorms are still possible in some places.
