The White House has confirmed that US President Donald Trump will meet with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky.
Reuters reports this, citing a White House official.
According to a representative of the American administration, the meeting is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, July 28.
A Reuters source in Ukrainian circles said that Zelensky is interested in traveling to the United States, but his team is waiting for official confirmation of Trump’s schedule from the White House.
According to him, Ukrainian and American officials discussed a proposal for an aerial ceasefire, which is planned to be presented to Russian officials as part of a new round of peace proposals.
As a reminder, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky may hold talks with US President Donald Trump next week. The Ukrainian and American sides are agreeing on the format of a possible meeting.
