The world’s fastest car: A Chinese electric car sets a new record.

The Chinese hypercar YangWang U9 Xtreme has become the fastest car in the world, nearly reaching 500 km/h.
At the German track in Papenburg, racing driver Marc Basseng accelerated the Chinese BYD YangWang to 496.22 km/h (308.5 mph), breaking the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+’s 490.48 km/h (304.1 mph) record set in 2019.
The YangWang is an electric vehicle. It is equipped with a four-motor powertrain producing 2,978 hp. The battery provides a range of up to 450 km, and charging from 30 to 80% at a fast charging station takes 10 minutes.
The YangWang U9 Xtreme hypercar is a limited edition of 30 units. Each car costs $250,000.
Previously, “Pryamoy” reported that a plant based in the orbit of one of the parliamentary majorities supplied charging stations for electric cars to occupied Crimea.
The LUAZ plant also considered the possibility of reviving the Ukrainian SUV as an electric vehicle.
