Ukrainian military intelligence intercepted conversations between Russian soldiers, revealing that Russian command is abusing its own soldiers.

According to the occupiers, wounded soldiers in the units are forced to go on assaults even on crutches, and losses are so great that the units are being refreshed several times a month.

The conversations also include allegations of military police torturing their own soldiers and misappropriating compensation for injuries. In particular, one soldier, after suffering serious injuries, was held in a basement, beaten, and then sent on a combat mission despite his condition.

According to the Main Intelligence Directorate, such cases are not isolated and demonstrate a systemic attitude towards Russian military personnel as “expendable material.”
