The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published operational information as of 10:00 p.m. on August 2 regarding the Russian invasion.
In total, 172 combat clashes have taken place since the beginning of this day. The aggressor carried out 62 air strikes using 190 guided bombs, used 6,595 kamikaze drones for strikes, and carried out 2,318 shelling of the positions of our troops and settlements.
In the North Slobozhansk and Kursk directions, four clashes with the enemy have occurred since the beginning of the day, the enemy launched two air strikes, dropped four aerial bombs, and carried out 59 attacks on the positions of our troops and settlements, including one using a multiple launch rocket system.
During the day, in the South Slobozhansk direction, the enemy stormed the positions of our units nine times towards the settlements of Hoptivka, Nesterne, Pokalyanye, Aniskine, Lyman, and Starytsia.
In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy carried out five offensive actions towards Kivsharivka, Kutkivka, and Radkivka.
Nine attempts by the invaders to advance were repelled in the Lyman direction towards Lyman, Stavye, Dibrova, and in the areas of the settlements of Novoselivka, Ozerne, and Zarichne. Two clashes are still ongoing.
In the Slavyansk direction, the Defense Forces stopped 14 attempts by the invaders to advance in the areas of the settlements of Riznykovka, Zakytne, Kryva Luka and towards Piskunivka and Rai-Oleksandrivka. Another clash is ongoing.
The enemy did not conduct offensive operations in the Kramatorsk direction.
In the Kostyantynivka direction, the Defense Forces repelled 16 enemy assaults in the areas of the settlements of Kostyantynivka, Illinivka, Shakhove and towards the settlements of Dovga Balka, Pavlivka, Vilne, Kucheriv Yar. Five clashes are still ongoing.
The enemy carried out twenty-six attacks in the Pokrovsky direction. The occupiers tried to advance in the areas of the settlements of Kotlyne, Udachne and towards the settlements of Novy Donbas, Bilytske, Shevchenko, Vasylivka, Svitle, Gulive, and Novopidhorodne. One clash is still ongoing.
According to preliminary estimates, today 30 occupiers were eliminated here, 10 were wounded; one artillery system, two units of special equipment, one UAV control point and 25 personnel shelters were destroyed. One artillery system, two units of automotive equipment and 102 enemy personnel shelters were damaged. 317 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types were destroyed or suppressed.
The enemy did not conduct offensive operations in the Oleksandrivka direction.
In the Hulyaipil direction, the Defense Forces repelled 13 enemy attacks towards the settlements of Vozdvizhivka, Girke, Charivne, and Novoselivka.
The enemy did not conduct offensive operations in the Orikhiv and Prydniprov directions.
There were no significant changes in the situation in other areas.
