There have been 58 combat contacts at the front since the beginning of the day

Since the beginning of the day on September 3, 58 combat clashes have been recorded on the Russian-Ukrainian front. The most active remain the Pokrovskoe and Limanskoe directions, where the enemy carried out 29 and 8 attacks, respectively.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this in its construction as of 16:00.

As a result of artillery shelling from the territory of the Russian Federation, the border settlements of Sumy region were damaged – Znob-Novgorodskoye, Progress, Bobilovka, Studenok, Shalygino and Bunyakino.

In the North Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, Ukrainian defenders repelled two attacks by the enemy, who launched three missile and three air strikes, dropped six guided bombs and carried out 80 artillery attacks, including two MLRS salvos.

In other directions, in particular Yuzhno-Slobozhansky, Kupyansky, Seversky, Kramatorsk and Toretsky, Ukrainian soldiers successfully repelled attacks and held back the enemy’s advance. In the Novopavlovsky direction, the occupiers attacked three times, two attempts to break through are ongoing.

The enemy has not been detected in the Gulyai-Polye and Orekhovo directions of offensive operations. Air strikes have been carried out on the settlements of Belogorye, Veselyanka and Olgovka.

The defense forces continue to hold their positions and contain the enemy’s advance along the entire front line.
