On Tuesday, May 19, 63 combat clashes were recorded on the Russian-Ukrainian front. The occupiers carried out the most assaults in the Pokrovsk direction.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this.
Two armed clashes occurred in the Severo-Slobozhansky and Kursk directions. Russian forces launched 56 attacks on Ukrainian military positions and settlements, including one using multiple launch rocket systems.
In the South Slobozhansky direction, the enemy stormed the positions of the Defense Forces six times in the areas of Granoe, Liman, Radkovka, Vilcha and Staritsa.
No active military action was recorded in the Kupyansk, Kramatorsk, and Orekhovsky directions during the day.
In the Liman direction, Ukrainian defenders thwarted six Russian attempts to advance near Drobyshev, Ozernoye, and Dibrova.
In the Slavyansk direction, the occupiers attacked twice near Roznikovka and Krivaya Luka. One battle was still ongoing as of this evening.
In the Konstantinovsky direction, the invaders carried out six attacks in the areas of Konstantinovka, Pleshcheyevka, Ilyinovka and Dolgaya Balka.
The Pokrovskoe front remains the hottest section of the front. There, Russian troops have attempted 26 times to dislodge Ukrainian forces from positions in the areas of Dorozhnoye, Rodinskoye, Aleksandrovka, Pokrovsk, Grishinoye, Kotlinoye, Udachnoye, Molodetskoye, as well as in the direction of Svobodny and Gruzskoye. One combat clash is ongoing.
In the Alexandrovsky direction, the enemy once attacked near Alexandrograd.
In the Hulyai-Polye area, Ukrainian forces repelled ten attacks near Rivnepillia, Radostne, Rybne, Dobropillia, Staroukrainka, Tsvetochne, and Volshebne. One battle continues.
In the Dnieper direction, the Defense Forces thwarted the enemy’s attempt to advance toward Belogrudy Island.
Shelling of border areas continues. In the Sumy region, Korenok, Shalygino, Ryzhevka, and Bessalivka came under fire, while Semenivka came under fire in the Chernihiv region. Russian forces also carried out airstrikes in the Chernatskoye and Zernovoye districts of the Sumy region.
