Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that the war in Ukraine could end within the coming weeks.
He made this announcement after talks with leaders of the EU, Canada, and NATO representatives, Reuters reports.
According to Tusk, recent events give reason for cautious optimism about a quick end to the conflict, although he stressed that there is no guarantee of complete peace yet.
“When I say that peace is on the horizon, I mean the coming weeks, not months or years. By January, we will all have to come together to make decisions about the future of Ukraine and this part of the world,” the Polish Prime Minister noted.
He also emphasized that the existing security guarantees from the United States create conditions for a potential end to the war, but Ukraine may need to make compromises on territorial issues.
As reported, the war may end earlier than January 15, 2026. This was stated by the Chief Rabbi of Dnipro, Shmuel Kaminetsky.
