There is a shortage of construction equipment at the front: Poroshenko handed over a batch of excavators, sawmills and ATVs to the military

Petro Poroshenko handed over another batch of equipment and machinery to the units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine. Six brigades received excavators for the construction of fortifications, as well as mobile sawmills, assault ATVs, generators and charging stations. The total cost of the assistance is UAH 22 million.

According to Poroshenko, construction equipment remains one of the most in demand at the front, as the military needs to equip trenches, build defensive lines, and strengthen positions.

He noted that the Poroshenko Fund, together with a Ukrainian manufacturer, continues to produce new excavators for the army. According to him, at the request of the fund, the company increased production to three to five machines per month, and in total, the second hundred such excavators have already been transferred to the units. The cost of each machine exceeds 3 million UAH.

Poroshenko also stated that the transfer of equipment will continue despite the sanctions imposed against him and the decision of the Supreme Court.

“We are doing this with one goal in mind – for the war to end and for our soldiers to return home and engage in peaceful construction,” he noted.

In addition to excavators, units of the Ground Forces, Airborne Assault Forces, Navy, and Air Force received mobile sawmills for equipping positions, as well as assault ATVs, generators, and charging stations for performing combat missions.

Poroshenko also expressed his belief that the first step towards ending the war should be a ceasefire, which, he said, can be achieved by strengthening sanctions against Russia, supplying weapons to Ukraine, and strengthening the Ukrainian army.

“We will continue to help our soldiers, strengthen the Ukrainian army, and do everything to ensure that Ukraine wins. Because peace comes only to the strong,” the fifth president emphasized.
