There is no electricity in five regions: the Ministry of Energy reported on the situation in the power system
Due to hostilities and Russian shelling of energy facilities, some consumers in Zaporizhia, Kherson, Kharkiv, Sumy, and Chernihiv regions are temporarily left without electricity.
This was reported by the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.
Energy workers continue to restore damaged networks wherever the security situation allows, and are trying to restore power to consumers as quickly as possible.
The situation in the Odessa region, which was hit by a massive attack, remains the most difficult. Specialists have already managed to restore power to almost all consumers, but work to restore the energy infrastructure is still ongoing.
Due to the risk of accidents related to equipment overload, the region is currently having to apply network restrictions. The outages will be lifted after the restoration work is completed.
At the same time, no planned power outages are predicted today.
The Ministry of Energy urged Ukrainians to postpone the active use of electrical appliances to daytime hours whenever possible.
“Active energy consumption today should be postponed to daytime – from 10:00 to 16:00. We ask consumers, if possible, to use electricity economically,” the department emphasized.
Consumers are advised to monitor changes in electricity supply on the official resources of their distribution system operators.
