There is the first hundred: Poroshenko transferred another batch of excavators for fortification work to the front
Petro Poroshenko handed over another batch of construction equipment for fortification works to the troops – 10 new excavators were received by units of the Defense Forces.
This was reported by the press service of “European Solidarity”.
The equipment was transferred to brigades of the Ground Forces, the Airborne Forces, the Special Operations Forces, the Air Force and the Navy, as well as the Unmanned Systems Forces.
In total, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Poroshenko Foundation has already transferred 100 excavators worth 312 million hryvnias to the front.
“These excavators will dig trenches, build caponiers for artillery, and provide protection for aviation. They will do everything to prevent the enemy from advancing further and to give our soldiers a chance to survive,” Poroshenko emphasized.
According to him, engineering equipment is working on all key areas of the front.
“No matter what unit and branch of troops you name, our diggers are already working there. Zaporizhia, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Sumy regions – wherever the front line stretches,” he noted.
Poroshenko also recalled that the team has experience in building fortifications since 2014.
“The fact that we held Avdiivka, Maryinka, Vodiane, Opytne, Chasiv Yar for so long is partly due to the defensive structures that helped effectively contain the enemy,” the fifth President emphasized.
He added that in 2022 he proposed to allocate a section of the front for defense, but was refused.
“Then we began to provide units with engineering equipment and Shatro electronic warfare systems to protect soldiers,” Poroshenko said.
“Today, a column of ten excavators moved directly from our office to the front. In order to dig deep and strong and not let the enemy further into our land,” he added.
As a reminder, Petro Poroshenko handed over five more Ai-Petri technical intelligence countermeasure systems to the military.
