“There was no agreement”: the President’s Office responded to Seoul’s statements regarding prisoners from the DPRK

He said this in comments to the publication of Valery Zaluzhny’s media advisor, Oksana Torop.

Torop stated that there was allegedly a non-disclosure agreement between Ukraine and South Korea. She also criticized Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s decision to publicly announce the transfer of prisoners.

Lytvyn denied this, stating that there was no agreement to remain silent. According to him, it would be wrong to hide information about the fate of the prisoners of war.

“There was no agreement to remain silent,” the presidential advisor repeated.

Torop responded that, according to her information, such an agreement existed, and the issue of prisoners was only part of a broader negotiation process between Ukraine and South Korea.

Earlier it was reported that South Korean President Lee Jae-myeon announced that Ukraine had violated an agreement with Seoul not to disclose information about the transfer of two prisoners of war from the DPRK . He expressed regret that this information had become public.
