There were 132 clashes at the front: the most difficult battles were in the Pokrov direction

Over the past 24 hours, 132 combat clashes have occurred on the front. Fighting continues along the entire contact line. Russian troops are actively using missiles, aircraft, and drones. At the same time, Ukrainian forces continue to deter attacks and strike back.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 8:00 a.m. on April 16.
According to the updated information, yesterday the enemy carried out two missile strikes using 24 missiles, carried out 78 air strikes, dropping 235 guided bombs. In addition, it used 9,701 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,771 shelling of settlements and positions of our troops, 142 of them from multiple rocket launchers.
The aggressor carried out airstrikes, in particular in the areas of the settlements of Pidhavrylivka, Velykymykhaylivka, Pokrovske, Orestopol, and Prosyana in the Dnipropetrovsk region; in Zaporizhia, Vozdvizhivska, Hulyaipilske, Kopany, Vasylivske, Tavriyske, Kamyanka, and Rivne were affected by airstrikes.
Over the past day, the Defense Forces’ aviation, missile forces, and artillery have struck one area of concentration of enemy manpower and equipment, a command post, five artillery systems, and an enemy air defense system.
In the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk directions over the past day, the enemy attacked the positions of our defenders four times, carried out 78 attacks on the positions of our troops and settlements, including five using multiple launch rocket systems.
In the South Slobozhansk direction, the enemy tried four times to break through the defensive lines of our units in the areas of the settlements of Prylipka, Symynivka, Veterinarne, and Starytsia.
In the Kupyansk direction, according to updated information, the enemy attacked four times towards the settlements of Petropavlivka, Podoli, and Kurylivka.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy once tried to penetrate our defenses near the settlement of Lyman.
In the Slavyansk direction, during the past 24 hours, our defenders stopped one attempt by the occupiers to advance in the Yampol area.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy twice attacked the positions of the Defense Forces in the areas of the settlements of Minkivka and Nykyforivka.
In the Kostyantynivka direction, the enemy carried out 25 attacks near Illinivka, Kostyantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Stepanivka, Sofiivka, and Novopavlivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders stopped 32 assault actions of the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Rodynske, Muravka, Udachne, Novooleksandrivka, Pokrovsk, Molodetske, and Kotlyne.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy attacked three times in the areas of the settlements of Kalynivske, Berezove, and Novooleksandrivka.
In the Hulyaipil direction, there were ten attacks by the occupiers in the areas of the settlements of Zaliznychne, Hulyaipole, Staroukrainka, Hulyaipilske, Olenokostyantynivka, Zarichne, and Tsvitkove.
No clashes were recorded in the Orikhiv direction.
In the Dnieper direction, the enemy conducted three futile offensive actions towards the Antonivskyi Bridge and Bilogruy Island.
No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected in the Volyn and Polissya directions.
