There were 147 clashes at the front: where the fiercest fighting took place

Over the past 24 hours, 147 combat clashes have occurred on the Russian-Ukrainian front. The hottest situation remains in the Pokrov direction.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 08:00 on August 8.

According to updated information, yesterday the invaders launched one missile and 86 air strikes on the territory of Ukraine, used two missiles and dropped 160 guided aerial bombs. In addition, they engaged 4,305 kamikaze drones and carried out almost six thousand shelling of the positions of our troops and settlements, including 129 from multiple launch rocket systems.

The aggressor carried out airstrikes, in particular, on the areas of the settlements of Seredyna-Buda in the Sumy region; Havrylivka in the Dnipropetrovsk region; Malaya Tokmachka, Chervona Krynytsia in the Zaporizhia region.

Over the past day, the Defense Forces’ aviation, missile forces, and artillery have struck six areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, and five enemy artillery pieces.

In the North Slobozhansk and Kursk directions, 11 clashes took place over the past 24 hours. The enemy carried out 20 air strikes, dropped 46 guided bombs, and carried out 377 shellings, including 16 from multiple rocket launcher systems.

In the South Slobozhansk direction, the enemy stormed the positions of our units in the areas of Vovchansk and Figolivka five times.

Ten attacks by the invaders took place in the Kupyansk direction in a day. The defense forces repelled the enemy’s assault actions near Mirny, Golubivka, Kindrashivka, Stepova Novoselivka, and Zagryzove.

In the Lymansky direction, the occupation forces attacked 25 times, trying to advance in the areas of the settlements of Zelena Dolyna, Karpivka, Yampolivka, Kolodyazi, Torske, as well as towards Serebryanka, Hryhorivka, and Olhivka.

In the Siversky direction, in the areas of Hryhorivka and Fedorivka, the enemy attacked the positions of our troops four times.

Five clashes were recorded in the Kramatorsk direction, the invaders were advancing in the Orikhovo-Vasylivka area and towards Novomarkovo and Stupochy.

In the Toretsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled ten attacks in the areas of Diliivka, Toretsk, Shcherbinivka, Oleksandro-Kalynovy, and Rusyn Yar.

In the Pokrovsky direction, our units stopped 42 assault and offensive actions of the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Poltavka, Boykivka, Mykolaivka, Novoekonomichne, Rodynske, Sukhetske, Lysivka, Zapovedne, Zvirovo, Kotlyne, Udachne, Zeleny Kut and Horikhove.

In the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy attacked our positions 15 times in the areas of the settlements of Filiya, Tovste, Zelene Pole, Vilne Pole, Komyshuvakha, Voskresenka, and towards Novoivanivka.

In the Hulyaipil direction, the Defense Forces successfully repelled one enemy assault near Malynivka.

In the Orikhiv direction, our defenders repelled three enemy attacks near Kamyanske and towards Novodanylivka.

In the Dnieper direction last day, the enemy made one unsuccessful attempt to advance.

No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected in the Volyn and Polissya directions.
