Over the past 24 hours, 147 combat clashes have occurred on the Russian-Ukrainian front. The hottest situation remains in the Pokrov direction.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 08:00 on August 7.
Yesterday, the enemy carried out 87 airstrikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, including 157 guided aerial bombs. In addition, it carried out 6,074 attacks, 111 of which were from multiple rocket launcher systems, and used 4,073 kamikaze drones to destroy them.
The aggressor carried out airstrikes, in particular, on the areas of the settlements of Boyaro-Lezhachi in the Sumy region; Shevyakivka, Semenivka, Khatne, Okhrimivka, Kupyansk in the Kharkiv region; Novoselivka, Kolodyazi, Seredne, Karpivka, Oleksandrivka in the Donetsk region; Kanivske, Stepnohirsk in the Zaporizhia region; Antonivka in the Kherson region.
Yesterday, the Defense Forces’ aviation, missile forces, and artillery struck two command posts, three artillery systems, and seven areas of concentration of enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment.
In the North Slobozhansk and Kursk directions, 16 clashes took place over the past day. The enemy carried out 13 air strikes, dropped a total of 15 guided bombs, and carried out 328 artillery attacks, including six from multiple launch rocket systems.
In the South Slobozhansk direction, four clashes occurred near the settlement of Vovchansk.
Nine attacks by the invaders were recorded in the Kupyansk direction during the day. The defense forces repelled the enemy’s assault actions in the areas of the settlements of Nova Kruglyakivka, Holubivka, Tyschenkivka, Zagryzove, in the direction of Kupyansk and Kurylivka.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 21 times. He tried to advance in the areas of the settlements of Ridkodub, Karpivka, Shandrygolovye, Seredne, Torske, and in the direction of the settlement of Hryhorivka.
In the Siversky direction, the enemy attacked the positions of the Defense Forces eight times near Hryhorivka, Pereyzne, and Viyimka.
Over the past day, one clash occurred in the Kramatorsk direction near the settlement of Novomarkovo.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy carried out 11 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Toretsk, Katerynivka, Shcherbynivka, Yablunivka and in the direction of the settlements of Oleksandro-Shultyne and Rusyn Yar.
In the Pokrovsky direction, our defenders stopped 38 attacks by the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Popiv Yar, Mayak, Sukhetske, Rodynske, Volodymyrivka, Novoekonomichne, Myrolyubivka, Lysivka, Myrnograd, Zvirovo, Udachne, Novoukrainka.
In the Novopavlivske direction, the Defense Forces repelled 13 enemy assaults in the areas of the settlements of Novopil, Zeleny Gay, Piddubne, Tolstoy, Voskresenka, Maliyivka and towards the settlement of Filiya.
The enemy did not conduct offensive operations in the Hulyaipil and Orikhiv directions.
In the Dnieper direction last week, the Defense Forces successfully repelled six clashes. The enemy had no success.
No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected in the Volyn and Polissya directions.
