Frontline Escalation: 148 Clashes Reported, Fiercest Fighting in Pokrovsk Direction

Since the start of July 8, 148 combat clashes have occurred, with the fiercest fighting in the Pokrovsk direction, where the occupiers attempted 51 advances.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“The Russian invaders carried out two missile and 52 air strikes, using six missiles and dropping 77 guided bombs. In addition, they engaged 1,113 kamikaze drones, which were destroyed, and carried out 4,126 attacks on the positions of our troops and settlements,” the General Staff reported.

There were 13 clashes in the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk directions. The Russians launched 260 attacks.

The enemy attacked 10 times in the South Slobozhansk direction, in the areas of Vovchansk, Ambarne, and Kamyanka, and one clash is still ongoing.

In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy made three offensive attempts in the areas of Zagryzove and Golubivka.

In the Lymansky direction, the SOU repelled 13 assaults in the areas of the settlements of Novyi Mir, Karpivka, Zelena Dolyna, Torske, Ridkodub, Hryhorivka, and in the direction of Shandryholovy. Two more clashes are still ongoing.

In the Siversky direction, the enemy attacked four times in the Ivano-Daryivka area and in the Serebryanka and Viyimka directions. One clash is still ongoing.

Since the beginning of the day, the Russians have been attacking in the direction of Stupochky and Bila Hora in the Kramatorsk direction. Ukrainian units have repelled three attacks.

Nine clashes took place in the Toretsk direction. The Russians tried to storm positions in the SOU in the areas of Diliivka, Toretsk, Yablunivka, Rusyn Yar, and in the Katerynivka and Oleksandro-Kalynovo directions.

In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, the enemy has attacked 51 times in the areas of the settlements of Popiv Yar, Poltavka, Myrne, Malinivka, Myrolyubivka, Razine, Lysivka, Shevchenko, Zvirovo, Udachne, Muravka, Oleksiivka, Zelenyi Kut, Horikhove, and in the directions of Pokrovsk, Molodetskyi, and Novopavlivka. Six clashes are ongoing.

In the Novopavlivske direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 26 attacks by invaders in the areas of the settlements of Zaporizhzhia, Piddubne, Myrne, Komar, Voskresenka, Shevchenko, Zelene Pole, Vilne Pole, and Novopil. Eight more clashes are still ongoing.

In the Hulyaipole direction, the SOU repelled one enemy assault near Malynivka.

In the Orikhiv direction, the Russians carried out an airstrike in the area of the settlement of Plavni, but no offensive actions were carried out.

On the Dnipro direction, the Russians made a single attempt to approach the fortifications of Ukrainian forces.

The General Staff noted that there were no significant changes in the situation across other sectors.

Earlier, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi reported that in June 2025, the number of missiles and drones that Russia launches over Ukraine increased by 60 percent.

By the way, the United Kingdom has imposed new sanctions against the Russian Federation in response to the use of chemical weapons by the Russian occupiers on the front, which is a violation of the Chemical Weapons Convention.
