Over the past 24 hours, 151 combat clashes have occurred on the Russian-Ukrainian front. The hottest situation remains in the Pokrov direction.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 08:00 on August 5.
According to updated information, yesterday the enemy carried out three missile and 72 air strikes, used five missiles and dropped 129 guided aerial bombs. In addition, it carried out 6,050 attacks, including 76 from multiple launch rocket systems, and engaged 3,925 kamikaze drones to destroy them.
The aggressor carried out airstrikes, in particular, on the areas of the settlements of Arkhipivka in Chernihiv region; Dobropillya, Ivanopillya in Donetsk region; Bilogirya, Uspenivka, Malokaterynivka in Zaporizhia region; Olhivka in Kherson region.
Over the past day, the Defense Forces’ aviation, missile troops, and artillery have struck seven areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, a radar station, and one important occupier facility.
In the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk directions, Ukrainian defenders repelled 18 attacks by the invading forces. The enemy also launched 14 air strikes, using 26 guided bombs, and carried out 417 shellings, six of which were from multiple rocket launchers.
In the South Slobozhansk direction, the enemy tried nine times to break through the defensive lines of our defenders near Vovchansk, Krasny Pershy, Figolivka and towards Kozacha Lopan, Goptivka and Kolodyazny.
Nine enemy attacks took place in the Kupyansk direction yesterday. Our defenders repelled enemy assault actions in the areas of the settlements of Holubivka, Zagryzove, and Lozova.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 28 times. He tried to penetrate our defenses near the settlements of Hrekivka, Myrne, Kolodyazi, Zelena Dolyna, Torske and towards Dronivka, Hryhorivka and Serebryanka.
In the Siversky direction, the enemy made nine attempts to advance in the areas of Hryhorivka, Verkhnokamyansky, and Viyimka.
Our defenders repelled two enemy attacks in the Chasovy Yar area in the Kramatorsk direction.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy carried out six attacks in the areas of Toretsk, Romanivka, and Shcherbinivka.
In the Pokrovsky direction, our defenders stopped 45 assault actions of the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Poltavka, Novoekonomichne, Chervonyi Lyman, Sukhetske, Lysivka, Zvirovo, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novoukrainka, and Zelenyi Kut.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy carried out 18 attacks over the past day near the settlements of Zelene Pole, Voskresenka, Zeleny Gay, Piddubne, Myrne, Temyrivka, and Maliivka.
In the Hulyaipil direction, the enemy once tried to break through the defenses of our defenders in the Malynivka area.
In the Orikhiv direction, the occupation forces made one attempt to attack the positions of our defenders in the direction of Novoandreyevka.
Over the past day, the enemy made five futile attempts to attack the positions of Ukrainian units in the Dnieper direction.
No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected in the Volyn and Polissya directions.
