There were 160 clashes at the front: where the fiercest fighting took place

Over the past 24 hours, 160 combat clashes have occurred on the Russian-Ukrainian front. The hottest situation remains in the Pokrov direction.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 08:00 on August 1.
Yesterday, the enemy carried out 57 airstrikes, dropped 127 guided bombs. In addition, it carried out 5,835 attacks, including 126 from multiple rocket launcher systems, and engaged 4,098 kamikaze drones for destruction.
The aggressor launched air strikes with guided bombs on populated areas:
Medvedivka – Chernihiv region; Bilogirya, Veseljanka, Hryhorivka, Stepnohirsk – Zaporizhia region; Novotyaginka – Kherson region.
Over the past day, the Defense Forces’ aviation, missile forces, and artillery have struck five areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, and two enemy artillery pieces.
In the North Slobozhansk and Kursk directions, Ukrainian defenders repelled sixteen Russian attacks. Over the past day, the enemy launched seven air strikes, dropped a total of 17 guided bombs, and carried out 331 artillery shells, including four from multiple rocket launchers.
In the South Slobozhansky direction, our troops stopped seven enemy attacks in the area of the settlement of Vovchansk and in the direction of Dvorichansky and Kolodyazny.
Three attacks by the invaders took place in the Kupyansk direction yesterday. Our defenders repelled the enemy’s assault actions in the areas of the settlements of Kupyansk and Petropavlivka.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked thirty times, trying to penetrate our defenses near the settlements of Karpivka, Ridkodub, Myrne and towards the settlements of Shandryholove, Yampil, and Hryhorivka.
In the Siverskyi direction, our soldiers successfully stopped seven enemy attacks in the direction of the settlements of Hryhorivka and Viyimka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the invaders attacked six times in the direction of the settlements of Stupochky, Bila Hora, and Chasiv Yar.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy carried out nine attacks in the areas of the settlements of Diliivka, Toretsk, Shcherbynivka and in the direction of Bila Hora, Stepanivka, and Rusyn Yar.
In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders stopped forty-seven assault actions of the aggressor in the areas of the settlements: Poltavka, Mayak, Razine, Novoekonomichne, Myrolyubivka, Lysivka, Zvirovo, Kotlyne, Udachne, Muravka, Novoukrainka, and in the direction of the settlements of Volodymyrivka, Pokrovsk, Rodynske, Myrnograd, Novopidhorne.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy yesterday carried out twenty-three attacks in the areas of the settlements: Zaporizhia, Yalta, Zirka, Piddubne, Tolstoy, Mirne, Shevchenko, Vilne Pole, Novosilka, Novopil, and in the direction of the settlement of Temyrivka.
No clashes were recorded in the Hulyaipil direction.
The aggressor attacked twice in the Orikhiv direction – the occupiers tried to advance in the areas of the settlements of Kamianske and Maly Shcherbaky.
In the Dnieper direction, our defenders successfully stopped one enemy attack.
No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected in the Volyn and Polissya directions.
