Over the past 24 hours, 167 combat clashes have occurred on the Russian-Ukrainian front. The hottest situation remains in the Pokrov direction.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 08:00 on October 22.
According to the updated information, yesterday the enemy carried out two missile and 63 air strikes, using six missiles and dropping 148 guided aerial bombs. In addition, it carried out 4,110 attacks, including 89 from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 4,488 kamikaze drones to destroy them.
The aggressor carried out airstrikes, in particular, on the areas of the settlements of Kharkiv in the Kharkiv region; Lyman, Kostyantynivka in the Donetsk region; Oleksandrivka, Malynivka in the Dnipropetrovsk region; Rivnopillya, Solodke, Zaporizhzhia in the Zaporizhzhia region; Kherson in the Kherson region.
Over the past day, the Defense Forces’ aviation, missile forces, and artillery have struck five areas of concentration of enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment.
In the North Slobozhansk and Kursk directions, Ukrainian defenders repelled one attack by the invading forces. The enemy also launched 8 air strikes, using 21 guided bombs, and carried out 160 attacks, including six from multiple launch rocket systems.
In the South Slobozhansk direction, the enemy tried 13 times to break through the defensive lines of our soldiers near Vovchansk, Vovchanskiye Khutory, Stroivka, Kamyanka, Zapadne, and towards Bologivka and Kolodyazne.
Nine enemy attacks took place in the Kupyansk direction yesterday. Our defenders repelled enemy assault actions in the areas of Stepovaya Novoselivka, Pishchanye, Zeleny Gay, Novaya Kruglyakivka, and towards Petropavlivka and Kurylivka.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy conducted 17 attacks. They tried to penetrate our defenses near the settlements of Hrekivka, Kopanky, Karpivka, Seredne, Kolodyazi, Derylove, Myrne, and Novoselivka.
On the Slavyansk direction, the enemy made five attempts to advance in the areas of Serebryanka, Novoselivka, Viymka, and Pereyzne.
In the Kostyantynivka direction, the enemy carried out 25 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Bila Gora, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Shcherbynivka, Pleshchiivka, and Rusyn Yar.
In the Pokrovsky direction, our defenders stopped 64 assault actions of the aggressor near the settlements of Nykanorivka, Mayak, Sukhetske, Rodynske, Chervonyi Lyman, Novoekonomichne, Mykolaivka, Promin, Lysivka, Pokrovsk, Zvirovo, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Novomykolaivka, Kotlyarivka, Horikhove, and Dachne.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy carried out 11 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Ivanivka, Filiya, Verbovye, Novohrygorivka, and Novomykolaivka over the past day.
In the Hulyaipil direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled two attacks by the occupiers near Poltavka.
In the Orikhiv direction, the invaders tried five times to advance on the positions of our troops in the areas of Kamyanske, Stepovoye and towards Stepnohirsk and Malaya Tokmachka.
Over the past day, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations in the Kramatorsk and Prydniprovsk directions.
No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected in the Volyn and Polissya directions.
