There were 171 clashes on the front: which direction is the hottest?

Over the past 24 hours, 171 combat clashes have occurred on the Russian-Ukrainian front. The hottest situation remains in the Pokrov direction.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 08:00 on July 16.

The enemy launched two missile and 54 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, using two missiles and dropping 86 guided aerial bombs. In addition, it carried out 5,574 attacks, 68 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 3,869 kamikaze drones to destroy them.

Air strikes were carried out, in particular, on the areas of the settlements of Zybyne, Odradne in Kharkiv region; Rodynske, Sukhyi Yar, Myrnograd, Novopoltavka in Donetsk region; Novoandreyevka in Zaporizhia region; and Lviv in Kherson region.

Over the past day, the Defense Forces’ aviation, missile troops, and artillery have struck six areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, three command posts, two air defense systems, and one artillery system of the Russian invaders.

In the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk directions, 21 combat clashes took place over the past 24 hours. In addition, the enemy carried out ten air strikes, dropping 23 guided bombs, and also carried out 363 shelling of the positions of our troops and settlements, including ten from multiple launch rocket systems.

In the South Slobozhansky direction, the Defense Forces repelled seven enemy attacks near the settlements of Vovchansk, Krasne Pershe, and Stroivka.

Five attacks by the invaders took place in the Kupyansk direction. The defense forces repelled the enemy’s assault actions in the areas of the settlements of Stepova Novoselivka, Zagryzove, Pishchane and in the direction of Kupyansk.

In the Lymansky direction, the enemy attacked 25 times, trying to advance near the settlements of Novyi Mir, Novoyehorivka, Hrekivka, Karpivka, Kolodyazi, Zelena Dolyna, Torske, and towards Shandryholovy and Serebryanka.

In the Siversky direction, our defenders repelled three assaults by occupation troops near Hryhorivka and Viyimka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, seven clashes were recorded in the areas of Predtechyny, Bila Hora, and Stupochy.

In the Toretsk direction, the enemy carried out 11 attacks near Diliivka, Toretsk, Novospassky, and Rusyn Yar.

In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders stopped 60 assaults by the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Mykolaivka, Shevchenko, Molodetske, Horikhove, Popiv Yar, Novoekonomichne, Myrolyubivka, Lysivka, Kotlyne, Zvirovo, Udachne, Alekseevka, and towards the settlements of Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Muravka Filiya, and Dachne.

In the Novopavlivka direction, the Defense Forces stopped 27 enemy attempts to break through the defensive lines in the areas of the settlements of Zaporizhzhia, Piddubne, Lisne, Myrne, Maliivka, Shevchenko, Novosilka, Zelene Pole and towards the settlements of Komyshuvakha, Temyrivka, Novokhatske.

In the Hulyaipil direction last day, the Defense Forces successfully stopped one enemy assault near the settlement of Malynivka.

In the Novodanylivka area in the Orikhiv direction, our defenders also repelled one enemy assault.

In the Dnieper direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled eight attacks by the invaders in the area of the Antoniv Bridge and near the islands of Kozulsky and Zabych.

No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected in the Volyn and Polissya directions.
