There were 172 clashes at the front: where were the most attacks?

Over the past 24 hours, 172 combat clashes have occurred on the Russian-Ukrainian front. The hottest situation remains in the Pokrov direction.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 08:00 on September 5.

Yesterday, the enemy launched two missile and 78 air strikes, used three missiles, dropped 136 guided bombs. In addition, it carried out 4,861 attacks, including 80 from multiple rocket launcher systems, and engaged 5,607 kamikaze drones to destroy them.

The aggressor carried out air strikes, in particular, on the areas of the settlements of Zaliznyy Most in Chernihiv region; Bilogirya, Stepnohirsk, Chervona Krynytsia in Zaporizhia region; and Kozatske in Kherson region.

Over the past day, the Defense Forces’ aviation, missile troops, and artillery have struck three areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, one ammunition depot, a control point, four UAV control points, and 5 enemy artillery pieces.

In the North Slobozhansk and Kursk directions, Ukrainian defenders repelled four Russian attacks. Over the past day, the enemy launched 15 air strikes, dropped a total of 33 guided aerial bombs, and carried out 249 artillery attacks, including 10 from multiple rocket launchers.

In the South Slobozhansk direction, our troops stopped eight enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Vovchansk, Kamyanka, and Krasne Pershe.

Nine attacks by the invaders took place in the Kupyansk direction yesterday. Our defenders repelled the enemy’s assault actions in the areas of the settlements of Stepova Novoselivka, Borivska Andriivka and in the Kupyansk, Petropavlivka and Novoplatonivka directions.

In the Lymansky direction, the enemy attacked 18 times, trying to penetrate our defenses near the settlements of Hrekivka, Karpivka, Kolodyazi, Torske, Novomykhailivka and in the directions of Novy Mir and Shandryholovy.

In the Siversk direction, the Defense Forces repelled 28 enemy attacks near Hryhorivka, Serebryanka and towards Yampol, Dronivka, Siversk, and Viymka.

Nine clashes took place in the Kramatorsk direction yesterday. The invader tried to advance towards the settlements of Bondarne, Vyrolyubivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, and Stupochoky.

In the Torets direction, the enemy carried out 11 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Shcherbynivka, Pleshchiivka, Kleban-Byk, Rusyn Yar, and Poltavka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders stopped 47 assault actions of the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Volodymyrivka, Kucheriv Yar, Rubizhne, Nykanorivka, Ivanivka, Mayak, Rodynske, Sukhyi Yar, Zvirovo, Myrolyubivka, Kotlyne, Novoekonomichne, Promin, Pokrovsk, Udachne, Molodetske, Dachne and towards Novopavlivka and Balahan.

In the Novopavlivske direction, the enemy yesterday carried out 21 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Filiya, Sichneve, Komyshuvakha, Voskresenka, Maliivka, Temyrivka, Zeleny Hai, and Olhivske.

The enemy did not conduct any offensive operations in the Hulyaipil direction during the past day.

In the Orikhiv direction, three clashes occurred in the Kamyanske and Malaya Tokmachka areas.

In the Prydniprovs’kyi direction, our defenders successfully stopped two enemy attacks in the direction of the settlement of Antonivka.

No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected in the Volyn and Polissya directions.
