There were 178 clashes at the front: where were the most attacks

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 08:00 on October 16. The enemy launched two missile strikes, 42 rockets and 100 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, dropping 206 guided bombs. In addition, it carried out 4,553 attacks, 118 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 6,184 kamikaze drones to destroy them.

The aggressor carried out air strikes, in particular, on the areas of the settlements of Stepnohirsk, Zaporizhia region; Kozatske, Kherson region; and Mykolaiv, Mykolaiv region.

Over the past day, the Defense Forces’ aviation, missile troops, and artillery have struck 14 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, one drone control point, six artillery pieces, and one other important facility of the Russian invaders.

Two combat engagements took place in the North Slobozhansk and Kursk directions. The enemy launched 13 air strikes, dropped 29 guided bombs, and carried out 228 shellings, including 20 from multiple rocket launcher systems.

In the South Slobozhansk direction, 15 combat clashes took place yesterday near Vovchansk, Vovchanskiye Khutory, Kamyanka, and in the direction of Kolodyazne, Bolohivka, and Kutkivka.

In the Kupyansk direction, 13 attacks by the invaders took place over the past day. The defense forces repelled the enemy’s assault actions in the areas of the settlements of Petropavlivka, Pishchane, Boguslavka and in the direction of Kurylivka and Borova.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 11 times, trying to advance in the areas of the settlements of Derylove, Ridkodub, Torske, Kolodyazi, Zarichne and in the directions of the settlements of Druzhelyubivka and Lyman.

In the Slavyansk direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled four enemy attacks over the past day. The occupier units tried to advance in the areas of the settlements of Serebryanka, Yampil and in the direction of Zvanivka.

No enemy offensive actions were recorded in the Kramatorsk direction.

In the Kostyantynivka direction, the enemy carried out 23 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Shcherbynivka, Pleshchiivka, Rusyn Yar, Poltavka and in the direction of Kostyantynivka, Stepanivka, and Sofiivka.

In the Pokrovsky direction, our defenders stopped 55 assault and offensive actions of the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Shakhove, Nykanorivka, Volodymyrivka, Dorozhne, Chervonyi Lyman, Novoekonomichne, Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Zvirovo, Kotlyne, Lysivka, Udachne, Molodetske, Filiya and in the direction of Myrnograd, Novopavlivka, Bilytskyi and Balahan.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, the Defense Forces repelled 33 attacks near the settlements of Zeleny Hai, Novokhatske, Sichneve, Sosnivka, Verbove, Vorone, Novomykolaivka, Ivanivka, Oleksandrgrad, and Novohrygorivka.

In the Hulyaipil direction, the enemy attacked the positions of our defenders five times in the areas of the settlements of Poltavka and Malynivka.

In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy carried out one unsuccessful offensive operation in the Stepovoye area.

In the Dnieper direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled three attacks by the invaders.
